Mauro Hosts Mental Health & Climate Virtual Town Halls

(March 31, 2020 – Des Moines) -- The Mauro campaign continues their live stream events today, welcoming former Johnson County Supervisor Mike Carberry to discuss climate change at 4:00PM and hosting a Mental Health Town Hall with former Des Moines School Board President Jacquie Easley, Iowa Legends founder Charles Mercer and Moving Forward’s Breanne Ward at 7:00 PM to discuss the urgent issue of mental health care in Iowa.

Last week’s livestream with Dr. Frantz Whitfield, pastor of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Waterloo, has been viewed over 40,000 times. Other livestreams have featured elected officials, candidates and community leaders such as Iowa State Rep. Ross Wilburn, climate activist Christine Curry and Muscatine County Democrat Chair Kelcey Brackett.
