Mauro Cancels Public Events to Protect Public from COVID-19

U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE EDDIE MAURO (D-IA) HALTS PUBLIC EVENTS AND CLOSES CAMPAIGN OFFICES OVER COVID-19

(March 11, 2020 - Davenport, IA) -- Displaying the leadership he hopes to bring to the United States Senate, candidate Eddie Mauro (D-IA) has canceled the remaining days of his ‘Mississippi River’ Tour in an abundance of caution with the escalating issue of coronavirus/COVID-19.

“I’m a father first and we all have a responsibility to take care of our families and our employees. We’ll know more about how this virus will or won’t expand in the next few weeks here in Iowa and while that is coming into focus we’ve made the decision to put the health of our constituents and staff first and cancel public events for the immediate future. Our staff will also be working remotely from home while we evaluate the emerging public health implications of the virus,” said Mauro.

The Mauro Senate Campaign is rescheduling events and updates will be posted to eddiemauro.com/events.

“Impacted events that were to be held in Muscatine, Burlington, Fort Madison, and Keokuk will be rescheduled for a future date after consultation with public health officials and our campaign team,” Mauro Senate Campaign manager Mark Langgin continued.

Mauro is available for video/Skype interviews to discuss implications and preparations the campaign is making for the June 2020 primary in light of recent developments related to coronavirus.
