ICYMI: MAURO PROPOSES COVID-19 HEALTH CARE PLAN

Iowa Starting Line has all the details, but U.S. Senate Candidate Eddie Mauro is the first of the U.S. Senate Candidates in Iowa to propose new health care reforms tailored to how we are responding to the coronavirus pandemic.

The full Mauro for Tomorrow Health Care proposal includes:

  • Medicare Access at Age 55 extending coverage to over 40 million people
  • A subsidized Medicare Public Option for All for those < 55 years of age, with expanded subsidies for low-income people
  • Allowing Medicare to negotiate for prescription drug prices
  • Ending Medicaid Privatization

Additionally, Mauro has proposed immediately opening the ACA exchanges for those newly employed and giving them access to a fully subsidized Medicare Public Option during the pandemic emergency.
