(March 31, 2020 – Des Moines) -- US Representatives Cindy Axne and Abby Finkenauer have joined US Senate candidate Eddie Mauro in calling for Governor Reynold’s to issue a ‘stay at home’ order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. In her statement, Rep. Axne wrote:
“You (Gov. Reynolds) and I are both fully aware of the stories of shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other critical medical supplies in our state,” Axne wrote. “If the state’s public health experts are predicting an imminent spike already, why then would we not consider a step that would keep all but the most essential workers at home to avoid deepening these shortages over the next month?” - US Rep. Cindy Axne
“I first called for Governor Reynolds to issue a stay at home order more than a week ago and I’m grateful to Rep. Axne and Rep. Finkenauer for amplifying my wish that Iowans stay home during the pandemic. We all must work together to find the best ways to stay healthy and help our fellow Iowans - and our fellow Americans.” - US Senate candidate Eddie Mauro
